Enilive: HVO diesel biofuel for maritime transport is available in the ports of Genoa and Ravenna

[DISPLAY_ULTIMATE_PLUS]

Enilive, a company dedicated to mobility products and services, announces that HVO diesel biofuel for the marine, 100% from renewable raw materials, is available with direct deliveries from the depot to ships via barge in the ports of Genoa and Ravenna, where agreements are in place for the supply to leading shipping operators. By the end of the year, Enilive plans to make the sale of HVO for the marina available in the same way also in the port of Venice.

HVO (Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil) is produced in the Enilive biorefineries in Venice and Gela mainly from waste raw materials, such as used cooking oils, animal fats and residues from the agri-food industry. Diesel HVO biofuel can immediately contribute to the decarbonisation of maritime transport because it can be used in purity in ships validated for its use, allowing a reduction in climate-changing emissions calculated along the supply chain from 60% to 90% compared to traditional fossil fuels according to the criteria established by the European Renewable Energy Directive, depending on the raw materials used, thus contributing to the achievement of the obligations under the FuelEU Maritime Regulation and reducing the costs imposed by the Emission Trading System.
