European Energy hits e-methanol milestone at Danish plant

[DISPLAY_ULTIMATE_PLUS]

European Energy has successfully produced its first raw e-methanol at its Kassø facility in Denmark.

The fuel was produced in the first methanol reactor at the facility and was achieved using biogenic CO2 sourced locally at the Biogas facility in Tønder.

European Energy is currently in the testing phase of its Power-to-X-facility at Kassø, which it says is the first large-scale commercial e-methanol facility in the world.

When in operation the facility has the capacity to produce 42,000 tonnes of e-methanol with three electrolysers from Siemens Energy and a methanol loop developed by European Energy.
