Metacon has delivered 20MW of electrolyser stacks to Motor Oil Hellas’ refinery in Greece as it looks to build out the 50MW green hydrogen plant.
The delivery of the 10 5MW alkaline electrolyser stacks netted the Swedish firm €14.9m ($17.3m).
It comes as part of two orders for the hydrogen production technology placed by Motor Oil: one for 30MW and one for 20MW.
Once fully installed, the 50MW plant will produce green hydrogen to replace partial volumes of grey hydrogen already used in the Corinth refinery, as well as supplying a recently opened refuelling station.
